Using Zoom in our courses

We use Zoom for our web classes.

This section tells you how to get started with Zoom

To download and install Zoom:

Windows

    • Go to https://zoom.us/download and from the Download Center, Download “Zoom Client For Meetings”.
    • Once the download is complete, proceed with installing the Zoom application onto your computer.
    • Run Zoom.
    • Test your camera & sound:
        • CLICK SETTINGS (the gear icon)
          • Select Video – If you camera is working you will see it working.
          • Select Audio
          • Click TEST SPEAKER – you should hear sound.  If the OUTPUT LEVEL bar is moving, but you cannot hear anything, sound is playing, but your speakers are not working (or are turned off).
          • Click TEST MICROPHONE – speak – you should see the INPUT LEVEL changing.  If the INPUT LEVEL is not moving, your microphone is turned off or not working.
Zoom will then play your sound back.  If you do not hear anything, the microphone did not work.
